Charlotte Jonckheer   3: Personalised Projects / Blushing Blue Seaside Furniture

In answer to the client's request, I created three interior pieces in blue to match their seaside apartment. The organic shapes enhance the movement and dynamics of the space.

The steel is coloured using a flame, which produces an unpredictable result and makes each piece unique. The surfaces are almost like paintings. The pieces were engineered and realised with Anco De Jonghe. The Commode and Side Table are on wheels, which makes them easy to move despite their weight. They are very functional, but at the same time they bring colour to the interior. They draw attention and create a dreamy landscape: imagine oceans and waves or a colourful evening sky. They fit the seaside landscape. The colours appear and disappear, blending into one another. The pieces came to life through the collaboration between the clients, craftsmen and engineer. They are a visualisation of a personal narrative.

Personalised Projects

My personalised projects stem from a profound appreciation of materiality, craftsmanship, and the relationship between objects and spaces. Each piece has its own history, shaped through dialogue and exchange with the client, and adds value to the experience of exploring. These objects are designed to facilitate movement and provide a sense of balance for those who occupy the space.
